Your bonus will be credited in portions of $10. The more cash game hands or tournaments you end up playing, the bigger your bonus. You have 60 days from the moment of your deposit to release the bonus associated with our Party Poker bonus code. After that the offer will expire.
However, before we get ahead of ourselves and open a bottle of champagne in celebration; there is this litte issue with the release of the bonus. To actually release the bonus you must play quite a few games. The bonus you release is proportional to the amount of rake or tournament fees you pay. Seeing as rake at Party Poker is capped at $5; you won’t generate bonus faster by playing high cash game stakes than by playing low or medium ones. Furthermore, playing high stakes will require a very big bankroll to keep it safe, and no matter how much money you deposit; you still can’t release more than a $500 bonus. Playing tournaments is not recommended either because they consume a lot of time, relative to the size of the entry fee, and this results in a poor bonus release rate.
The bottom line is that you should play cash games at low stakes to release the bonus in the most efficient way. To help you playing cash games at low stakes we have written down a few strategy tips that you would do well to read and make use of.
Knowing how to play the pre-flop is pretty straightforward. You go by the rank of your pocket cards. Once you reach the flop you must determine whether your hand needs improvement to win or not, and if it needs improvement, then you must determine the odds of improving your hand. To calculate the odds of improving your hand, you need to count your number of outs and divide them by number of unseen cards. The unseen cards are all the cards you can’t see; i.e. all cards held by your opponents, all cards remaining in the deck and all mucked cards. The number of outs are the cards that can improve your hand. The more outs and the fewer unseen cards, the higher the odds for improvement.
A hand that does not need improvement to win is called a made hand. A made hand must always have at least one pocket card contributing to its primary ranking. A hand that needs improvement to win is called a drawing hand. A hand that needs more than one card to improve is never worth playing. These are the standard drawing hands:
Over-Cards: Two pocket-cards that rank higher than the highest ranking community cards. This hand has 6 outs to improve to an over pair.
Inside-Straight-Draw: Four cards that all can be part of the same straight but there is one card missing in the sequence. This hand has 4 outs to improve to a straight.
Double-Inside-Straight-Draw: Three connected cards with a gap-connector on each end. This hand has 8 outs to improve to a straight.
Open-Ended-Straight-Draw: Four connected cards that can form a straight in either direction. This hand has 8 outs to improve to a straight.
Flush-Draw: Four suited cards. This hand has 9 outs to improve to a flush.
You can of course also have several drawing hands at the same time and then the outs must be added together, assuming that both hands you are drawing to are strong enough to win.
Knowing the hand improvement odds does not make you a shark in the poker fish pond, but it will without a doubt help you getting your hands on the bonus granted by our Party Poker bonus code.
